Tale Of The Cloud is a commissioned interactive children's book designed for elementary school students, developed in collaboration with two teachers as part of graphic design studies. The project combines storytelling, grammar exercises, illustration, and open-ended play into a single, cohesive reading experience.
Project info:

Educational materials for young children often prioritize function over engagement, being practical but rarely inspiring. The teachers needed something that could hold a child's attention, support classroom learning, and still feel like an adventure rather than a worksheet.
Problem:
Each page was designed to offer a multisensory experience, giving children the freedom to choose their own path through the content, whether reading, completing tasks, or coloring illustrations.
A visually rich, fantastical illustrative style creates a sense of wonder and world-building, while the layout supports both individual exploration and group work in the classroom. Every design decision was made to feel educational, playful, and visually inspiring all at once.
Design Intent:

Insight:
Children don't separate learning from play because for them, it's the same thing. A book that gives children agency over how they engage with it respects how they actually learn. In my opinion, the design had to follow that logic, not fight it.
Outcome:
The result is a functional yet imaginative learning tool that bridges the gap between education and creativity, commissioned by and delivered for real classroom use. The project is a demonstration of the ability to design for a specific and sensitive audience, balancing pedagogical goals with genuine visual delight.
